We all know that March is easily the best and most anticipated month for gamers in 2014. BROKEMARCH is upon us, and we all know that this upcoming month would be probably the best month for gamers, all year long. With games like Titanfall, Dark Souls 2, South Park: The Stick of Truth, Infamous Second Son, and Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, being the most stand out titles of this March. My predictions are pretty wild, and they are based off the Metacritic rating system (not individual websites, just the average score of the games). So, here are my predictions! (They may be wrong, but I will visit this post in March one more time, and see if I was correct or wrong!).
#5. Infamous: Second Son
Infamous second son is the only game that is going against Titanfall, as an old school Xbox vs. Playstation battle. And I am here to state something very bold (PS fans I love you all, please don’t be mad) … Infamous won’t get as good reviews as Titanfall, but is still going to be a fairly good game. So this is what I think Infamous would get on Metacritic!
[UPDATE] Did we guess the score right? Yes, it was, right on the mark! The game got an score of 80 out of 100 on Metascore making our prediction completely correct! You could now look at our other predictions of the most popular games of the month and see if we were correct!
#4. South Park: The Stick of Truth (March 4th)
You know how every game based on a movie or TV series would just try to cash in? Yeah, we have seen those scams before, but this time, the creators of South Park are not trying to cash in. They are trying to make an actual amazing game with the same quality of the TV series. It also looks as if the game would be as funny as the series too, which makes this game so much more amazing. However, I feel like some of the game critics will take the jokes too literally and think that they are offensive, giving the game lower scores than expected.
[UPDATE] Did we guess the score right? Yes, it was, right on the mark! The game got an average between 82 and 86 out of 100 on Metascore making our prediction completely correct! You could now look at our other predictions of the most popular games of the month and see if we were correct or not when the game and its reviews were launched!
#3. Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes
I am going to state something very bold right now … this game is not as amazing as other Metal Gear Solid games. First of all, this game seems to be very short, and I feel like this game would not be as good as games like Metal Gear Solid 4 or Peace Walker. I feel like this game would not be as amazing as many fans expected it to be, and would think that this game is way worse than the other Metal Gear Solid games.
[UPDATE] Did we guess the score right? No, our prediction was totally off. This game disappointed massively (read my review of the game here), with getting a good score, which is not exactly too good for a Metal Gear Solid game. The game has got a Metascore of 74 to 77 out of 100, which is extremely disappointing, compared to 80’s and 90’s which the other Metal Gear Solid games received.
#2. Dark Souls 2: 89/100 (March 11th)
Yes … an 89 out of 100 for the amazingly looking and much anticipated Dark Souls 2. Why you ask? Well, both Demon’s Souls and Dark Souls have got a score of 89 on Metacritic. Yes … they both got the exact same score … so I feel like Dark Souls 2 would be an 89. However, if the game gets less than that, then I would be a little disappointed, because then the game would be backtracking. On the bright side though, if Dark Souls 2 gets a score of 90 or above, then that would be a very sudden surprise. Oh Dark Souls … you will be the perfect game to get with a smile on your face, and then destroy the smile immediately, making me cry … oh dear Dark Souls!
[UPDATE] Did we guess the score right? Yes, we were extremely close, Dark Souls 2 got an incredible score of 92 out of 100 on the xbox 360 and a 90 out of 100 on the PS3 system.
#1. Titanfall (March 11th)
Titanfall is easily the most anticipated game of 2014, and it is not long enough until we get to play this Masterful game. Why I think this game would get a lot of 9’s and 8’s. However, it would probably average out to be something between 80 and 90 (no real word could be said, but if I had to choose an exact score then I would give it the score below!)
[UPDATE] Did we guess the score right? Yes, we were extremely close, Titanfall got a fantastic 87 out of 100. This is an incredible score for this instant classic and new revolution of the FPS genre.
